A Practical Plan for Casualty Loss

Don’t do duplicate work! When you are working with an insurance company, much of the information they ask you to gather will also be useful later for tax purposes.  Photographs of the property, inventories of belongings, insurance correspondence, estimates, receipts, information about your home, and records of payments or assistance received may ultimately serve more than one purpose.
