LET'S TALK TAXES
For many people, tax debt becomes more than a financial problem, it becomes a constant source of background stress. Letters from the IRS or a state taxing agency arrive, questions remain unanswered, and it can begin to feel as though the situation is always present in the back of your mind. Some people respond with a determination to work more or harder hoping the balance will eventually disappear. While people delay taking action because they feel overwhelmed by the uncertainty of where to begin or what the consequences might be. What often changes the experience is not an immediate solution, but the moment when uncertainty is replaced with understanding and a clear, practical plan begins to take shape.
A Clear, Practical Path to Solving Tax Debt
Tax problems are rarely just about numbers. They’re about uncertainty—what the notices mean, what happens next, and whether a wrong decision could make things worse.
This workshop is designed to replace that uncertainty with clarity. Participants spend the day learning how tax collection systems actually work, how resolution decisions are made, and how to build a plan that fits their real financial situation.
This is not a sales seminar and not a promise of instant results. It is an educational, working session intended to help you understand your position and your options before taking your next step.

A FACE TO THE NAME

Led by Suzanne Weathers, Enrolled Agent, and owner of Weathers & Associates Consulting, a firm devoted exclusively to helping individuals and families resolve tax problems.
As an Enrolled Agent, I am federally authorized to represent taxpayers before the IRS and work directly with both federal and state taxing agencies. My work involves interpreting notices, analyzing transcripts, evaluating financial information, and navigating the same processes participants are facing—every day.
Who This Workshop Is Designed For
This workshop is intended for individuals and business owners who are dealing with back taxes, unfiled returns, or ongoing collection activity from the Internal Revenue Service or a state taxing agency and want to understand what their options truly are.
Many participants arrive feeling stuck—unsure whether they should be filing, negotiating, waiting, or doing something else entirely. The goal of the day is to give you enough understanding to stop guessing and start making informed decisions.
A Note About Business Tax Issues
Business tax problems—such as payroll tax liabilities, trust fund issues, or unresolved business filings—are addressed in a separate workshop specifically designed for business owners and responsible parties.
If your tax issue involves a business entity or payroll obligations, this workshop may not provide the depth you need. You’ll be guided to the appropriate session before registration so you can attend the format that best fits your situation.
A Note About Bankruptcy Considerations
In some situations, bankruptcy may be considered as part of a broader strategy for addressing tax debt. Because the interaction between tax law and bankruptcy law is highly complex and fact-specific, bankruptcy is not addressed in depth during this workshop. When appropriate, these matters are evaluated in coordination with a qualified bankruptcy attorney to ensure the analysis is accurate and aligned with the taxpayer’s overall situation.
Weathers & Associates was built to serve people who feel overwhelmed, behind, or unsure how serious their tax situation really is. This workshop reflects that philosophy: practical education, honest boundaries, and no pressure to commit to professional services unless and until it makes sense.
For those who prefer to hear directly from the instructor, the short interview below offers additional insight into my approach to tax problem-solving Downtown Spokane Partnership made this video and we have appreciated their support in tell our story which in turn has allowed us to help our community. While recorded earlier in my practice, the principles discussed remain the same today.
What Participants Can Expect to Gain
Throughout the day, participants work through a structured framework that explains how tax agencies evaluate cases, why certain resolution options are approved or denied, and how financial ability is measured.
By the end of the workshop, most participants have a clearer understanding of where they are in the collection process, what options are realistically available to them, and what steps should come next—whether those steps are taken independently or with professional assistance.
Just as important, participants leave knowing which actions can unintentionally delay or worsen a tax problem, something that often saves time, stress, and money down the road.
